In this pivotal stage, our Oracle-fueled solution introduced a spectrum of enhancements. From dynamically incorporating group pickers by truck or parcel to an automatic check on the transportation plan, calculating order weights for parcel or truck options, and aligning carriers based on customer preferences, we set the stage for efficiency. Wave picking and the ability to pick multiple orders simultaneously added a layer of agility to the process.
The next phase saw a streamlined transportation planning process, from creating shipments to specifying transportation details and facilitating changes to shipments. Load planning and customer cross-docking were seamlessly integrated, with an optimized workflow for shipping document prints.
Robust management reports tailored for capacity planning and operational insights, became a cornerstone for decision-making. Status reports, comparing planned versus actual shipments, provided a nuanced understanding of picker efficiency, enhancing strategic planning.
