Business Challenges
The client’s legacy on-premise ERP systems weren’t as flexible and as fast-paced as needed. The organization was challenged with integrated data visibility, which in turn led to manual intervention, data silos, and productivity inefficiencies. The client needed timely information for its decision-makers to serve better.

The client decided to migrate back-end and finance transactions to an Oracle cloud environment. In addition to their business applications migration, the client wanted an integrated data platform for enhanced operational analysis and financial business intelligence in the cloud.

As a long-standing technology partner of the client, ennVee was chosen to enable and lead the cloud migration and finance transformation journey.

Systems Modernization:
ennVee leveraged the Oracle Cloud SaaS platform to modernize back-office and finance functions. The solution included enablement of procure-to-pay lifecycle, equipping the system with reporting and analytics features, extending operational visibility through reporting improvements & data-driven business intelligence solutions, and empowering the system with project features that enable driving successful projects.

Business Intelligence & Reporting:
ennVee leveraged Oracle Business Intelligence Cloud Connector (BICC) with Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC), to import data from BICC into OAC for visualization, analysis, and reporting. Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher (BI Publisher) was leveraged to develop reports using data models and templates. Finance Reports included consolidated trial balances, asset cost summary, reserve details, payment approval, and budget expenditures. SCM Reports revolved around the liquidation of encumbrances and PO agreements. The Oracle PPM reports were for criteria of award status, project expense type tracking, inquiry extract for commitments, and project status inquiry for projects, tasks, and commitments.

Business Outcomes

Successful migration to Oracle Cloud: ennVee helped MSD to successfully migrate away from their legacy ERP environment to enable best-of-breed, modern business processes within Oracle Fusion Cloud. The transition has helped MSD deliver streamlined business processes, improved user experiences, and position the organization for future growth.
